Chef's a Technology Center alum, too

I'm writing in regard to the Daily Herald article (Jan. 13) profiling Chef Christopher Thielman and the College of DuPage Hospitality Administration department. Technology Center of DuPage is proud to add that Chef Thielman is a TCD alumnus. While he was a Glenbard West student, he spent two years in our culinary program as an elective class. In fact, years later, Chef Thielman was one of the inaugural inductees in TCD's "Hall of Fame" for distinguished alumni.

Many of the high school students enrolled in our Culinary, Pastry Arts and Hospitality Management program continue their education at College of DuPage. We thank Chef Thielman for the countless times he has returned to his former high school culinary program to share his professional experiences and expertise with current TCD students.

Seeing the accomplishments of alumni gives us a great deal of satisfaction, knowing TCD students today are getting the same encouragement and skills to pursue a career path they love.
