Reform commission starts work with public meeting

Members of the public are invited to attend the Illinois Reform Commission's first public meeting Thursday in Chicago.

The commission, headed by former Assistant U.S. Attorney and Lisle native Patrick Collins, was chartered by Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn and has as its mission reforming Illinois government in the wake of one governor serving time in prison and another under criminal charges. The commission plans to take testimony Thursday.

The meeting will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Chicago Bar Association, 321 S. Plymouth Court, second floor.
