Barrington 'Great Taste' food festival next week

The sixth annual "Great Taste Fest Celebration of Food & Spirits," presented by the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce and Barrington Bank & Trust, will take place from 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Millrose Restaurant, Banquets and Country Store, 45 S. Barrington Road, South Barrington.

The festival will feature regional breweries and more than 20 restaurants in a Restaurant Row showcasing tastes of their signature dishes. It also features door prizes, 50/50 raffle and live music. Area businesses showcase their products and services, distributing free samples and offering networking opportunities. There will be a special "green business" aisle.

Tickets are $35 a person or $60 for two, and $25 a person for groups of 10 or more when purchased together. To purchase advance tickets online, go to barringtonchamber.com. Tickets will be sold at the door for an increased cost. The first 350 attendees of the evening will receive a commemorative glass.
