Police seek information on attempted rape in Lyons Woods

Lake County Forest Preserve Ranger Police are investigating a robbery and attempted sexual assault that occurred about 9:30 a.m. July 19 at Lyons Woods Forest Preserve near Waukegan.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the attacker.

A female victim reported that a dark-skinned man pushed her off her bicycle and attempted to sexually assault her. The victim broke free, and the suspect fled on her bike, a black Cannondale Quick 5.
