Voters must install new leadership
The budget debacle in Springfield has become a sad joke. It really is time for citizens to take the state government back from these politicians who are so self-absorbed in their own power that they don't see how it affects the common person living in this state.
Here you have a bunch of people who can't pass a budget, can't improve infrastructure, can't get tax relief to the people who need it -- yet give themselves two pay raises in a month. What company (please name one) would give pay raises to someone who is doing nothing?
The American public has to become interested enough to go to the polls next time and not vote for any name that is recognizable to them. Get these guys (and gals) who have been living in the legislature for 30 years out of there! Give some new blood with new ideas a chance to make things better. This applies to your hometown, the state and federal government.
Citizens need to get angry -- like we did in World War II. It is time to get these hooligans out of there!
