Laramie, Hampshire top North Boone

Hampshire 26, North Boone 7: Ron Laramie scored 4 touchdowns and the Whip-Purs held the Vikings' spread offense in check to win a Big Northern-East division game Friday night, denying North Boone a chance to become playoff eligible.

Laramie scored on a 2-yard run and a 1-yard plunge to stake Hampshire (2-5, 1-2) to a 13-0 halftime lead.

Vikings quarterback Alex Albrecht scored on a 15-yard run in the third quarter to slice the lead to 13-7, but Laramie's 7-yard run later in the quarter extended Hampshire's advantage to 19-7. The 5-foot-8, 165-pound running back capped the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 24-yard scoring jaunt.
