Do you struggle with worry or anxious thoughts? Are these thoughts affecting your day-to-day activities, your job, or your family? Are you looking for a way to calm these negative thoughts and become a more positive person? TriCity Family Services can help.
"Thinking Good, Feeling Great" is a six-session program designed for adults (age 25 and older) who are struggling with worry and anxious thoughts. Throughout the course of the program, participants will learn practical and effective cognitive tools to reduce feelings of worry and anxiety, to change negative thoughts to positive ones, and to create a calm and happy mood throughout their lives.
TriCity Family Services' licensed clinical therapists will facilitate this program based on the works of Aaron Beck and Dr. David Burns.
The "Thinking Good, Feeling Great" program includes a free assessment prior to admittance into the group.
The fall program will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, Aug. 24 to Sept. 28, at TriCity Family Services, 1120 Randall Court, Geneva. The minimum/maximum number of adults per session is 4/10.
Cost for the program is $40 per session ($240 total) or, like all TriCity Family Services programs, determined by a sliding scale based on need. The program also may be covered by your insurance.
