Rep. Schneider collecting cards for military veterans

U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider, a Highland Park Democrat, is collecting Valentine’s Day cards to be sent to local military veterans.

To participate, drop completed cards in the box at Schneider’s suburban office at 111 Barclay Blvd., Suite 200, in Lincolnshire.

The deadline for submissions is Feb. 9.

Last year, Schneider’s staff collected more than 2,000 cards and distributed them at the Capt. James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago and at veteran-operated businesses and organizations throughout the 10th District.
