A symbol of peace
On Jan 22, away from the ongoing mayhem and turmoil caused by painful wars and conflicts on earth, the city of Ayodhya-ji in India was the brightest spot as the beacon and shining example of peace and harmony.
Over 1 billion Hindus in India – the land of Lord Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa and Guru Nanak – and from around the world, consecrated a sacred abode in the form of a grand temple for Lord Ram who is considered to be one of the most revered deities in Hindu pantheon.
Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs from around the world including those living in the United States, marked the occasion by prayers, reconciliation, and celebrations. Perhaps it is time for our world leaders to visit the grand temple to find reconciliation with their adversaries. May peace prevail over tyranny, cruelty, vengeance, and painful loss of human lives.
