College basketball preview: Loyola vs. Cleveland State
Four weeks ago, the Ramblers got behind the Horizon League 8-ball with home losses to Butler and Valparaiso.
To get back into the race, they must knock off an impressive Vikings squad that ranks 68th in the Pomeroy rankings. Senior point guard Norris Cole could challenge for the league's Player of the Year as he averages 21.5 points, 4.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
Look for Loyola sophomore PF Ben Averkamp to continue his breakout campaign. He has averaged 15.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in the last 3 games and stood up to the opponents' best big guys.
