The skinny: The Blue Demons continue their rugged Big East start with this visit to an upset squad. The ninth-ranked Hoyas are miffed after losing by 14 points Wednesday at Notre Dame. Georgetown wing Austin Freeman (19.2 ppg) was the preseason Big East player of the year, but point guard Chris Wright makes John Thompson III's team go. If the Blue Demons intend to earn their first win over the Hoyas since 1994, they somehow need to find a way to break even on the boards (DePaul has been outrebounded in all but 2 games this season) and increase their defensive presence in the paint. Wiry freshman Cleveland Melvin is doing his part to bridge the gap. He contributed a career-high 24 points with 8 rebounds in Tuesday's loss at Cincinnati.
