Illinois Brews @ Bowes Creek returns for 11th year on Sept. 10

The Elgin Parks & Recreation Foundation is hosting its 11th annual Illinois Brews @ Bowes Creek fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Bowes Creek Country Club in Elgin. VIP ticketholders can gain exclusive access to craft beers and tasty treats an hour earlier at 3 p.m.

Illinois Brews plans to make this its biggest celebration yet, featuring tons of craft beers from over a dozen local breweries. Fan favorite Unscheduled Tour is back with live music to sip to, and food will be available from Johnny's Supper Club.

Ticket sales to Illinois Brews @ Bowes Creek directly support the important work of the foundation, which exists to strengthen the community of Elgin by making parks and recreation programs accessible to all.

Lovers of craft beer, good times, and the great outdoors are invited to attend, taste, and enjoy a beautiful day at Bowes Creek Country Club. Tickets start at $40 and include craft and home brew samplings, snacks, and a commemorative mug. VIP ($60) and designated driver ($20) tickets are also available for purchase at www.elginparksfoundation.org/ilbrewsatbowes.

Energy City Brewing is donating two of their Heavily Fruited Berliner Weisse beers, and Khaos Brewing is donating Sweet Emotionz, an American wheat ale.

Pollyanna Brewing Company will be serving Summerly and 1899.

Oswego Brewing Company will be sending their Hay'z for Horsez, Cart Path and Hard Workin, and Miskatonic Brewing Company will have DDH Vic Secret Wizard and Vox Pilsner.

Try out Two Brothers Artisan Brewing's Prairie Path and Pinball, or Hopewell Brewing Co.'s Cruising Speed Helles Lager. More Brewing Company will have its Open Fields Beer.

Other featured breweries will be: Sew Hop'd Brewery, Obscurity Brewing and Craft Mead, Maplewood Brewery & Distillery, Penrose Brewing Co., and Riverlands Brewing Co.

All proceeds will benefit the Elgin Parks & Recreation Foundation.
