The skinny: As a non-reward for Thursday's 18-point loss at Cleveland State, the Ramblers ring in the New Year in Youngstown. Loyola desperately needs a win in its first New Year's Day game since 1951. The Ramblers shot just 38 percent and committed 18 turnovers against Cleveland State. The miscues were particularly disappointing because they entered the night averaging just 12 per game. Loyola also needs to slow down YSU junior guard Ashen Ward, who drilled 7 3-pointers enroute to a career-high 26 points in Thursday's win over UIC.
