Skinny: The Blue Demons play their second game on campus this year and hope to perform as well as they did against Chicago State. Ball State has been as much of a mystery as DePaul in the early going. The Cardinals took St. John's to overtime at the Great Alaska Shootout on Nov. 24, but lost by 18 to Div. II Alaska Anchorage three days later. Nonetheless, Ball State will be another rigorous challenge for the Demons. DePaul loves to press, but Ball State ranks seventh nationally (per KenPom) in turnover percentage. The Cards are led by junior big man Jarrod Jones (14.3 ppg, 9.0 rpg) and sophomore shooter Jauwan Scaife (14.4 ppg). DePaul couldn't make a shot or grab a rebound in Wednesday's 22-point loss at Indiana State. Freshman forward Cleveland Melvin provided team-highs of 15 points and 6 rebounds, but most came after the game was decided.
