Moving Forward plan is good for Dist. 15
I have lived in Palatine for nearly 10 years and have two children currently in District 15. After reviewing the Moving 15 Forward plan, I am in full support because it will provide the safe and secure environment that our children need, maintain a strong community with increasing property values, as well as ensure a bright and successful future for our children and our community. We are the only district in our area without full-day kindergarten and moving to a middle school model would allow our children so many more academic and social opportunities.
The Moving 15 Forward plan accounts for every student, school and community served benefiting from improved security, building repairs and the addition of full-day Kindergarten. As suburban property values largely correlate with the quality of schools, failure to pass this referendum will have long-term repercussions in terms of property values, the strength of our schools and the overall health of our community.
On Nov. 8, we have an important decision to make. We will decide if we will support investing in our schools and the children of District 15. Great schools are one of the pillars of a great community. Voting YES will positively benefit our children, our local economy and create a more desirable school district for future parents.
