Scouting: Loyola @ Western Michigan

Loyola (4-0) at Western Michigan (0-1)

When: 6 p.m. at University Arena

Radio: WAUR 930-AM, WNTD 950-AM, WWCA 1270-AM

The skinny: With Thursday's win over Eastern Illinois, Loyola joined Pittsburgh, Florida State, Cleveland State and VMI as the first Division I teams to get to 4-0. While the win-loss records for these teams are lopsided, please note that WMU opened its season at Xavier and lost by just 3. The Broncos' best player is power forward Flenard Whitfield (15 pts vs. X), but they have a familiar name in freshman forward Juwan Howard Jr. He provided 8 points and 3 assists off the bench in his first college game. Loyola still has five guys averaging double figures. Terrance Hill leads the way with 14.8 ppg. More impressively, he has hit 13 of 17 from 3-point range. The Ramblers are shooting 46.2 percent collectively on 3s.
