Rotarians ring up brat sales at St. Charles festival

Fun, fellowship and camaraderie were obvious during the annual St. Charles Scarecrow Festival Rotary Brat Stand.

Hundreds of festival attendees enjoyed the offerings of brats, pulled pork sandwiches, turkey dogs, and assorted soft drinks.

This year's Rotary Brat Stand was so successful that the Noon Rotarians sold over 500 pounds of brats over the three-day festival.

The 30-plus Rotarians who worked over the three days wish to thank all of their brat stand customers. All of the net proceeds go to support Rotary charities including local college scholarships.

In 2009, the Noon Rotary was proud to be able to provide seven $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school students. The funds for these scholarships came from the brat stand sales and other fundraising activities that benefit local, national, and international needs.

Rotary Club membership is about service, fellowship, and networking. Rotary members are business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
