Salute Lake Zurich football team

Lake Zurich Unit District 95 residents are invited to celebrate the high school football team's Saturday appearance in the state's Class 7A championship game in Champaign.

Win or lose, a celebration parade will be held for the Lake Zurich High Bears to honor the football team accomplishments this season. It'll start at 1 p.m. Sunday at the new May Whitney School on Church Street, then work up a short distance to the high school and end at the field house.

Fans are asked to park in the lower school lot and gather along Church Street to cheer on the team, coaches and staff.

After the parade, fans should immediately gather in the field house for a presentation and to meet the team. The Lake Zurich High band, cheerleaders and pom squad will be on hand.
