The skinny: After splitting their games at Madison Square Garden, the Illini dropped from No. 13 to 19 in the Associated Press Top 25. This game looked like a walkover when placed on the schedule as Yale welcomed back just two starters from a 12-19 team. Then the Elis won at Boston College on Thursday with the help of a 12-for-21 effort from 3-point range. Mundelein's Raffi Mantilla comes off the bench for Yale and averages 3.0 points and 11.3 minutes. Illinois needs to brush up on its rebounding as Texas and Maryland each won the battle of the boards in New York City. The Illini were particularly poor at blocking out on free throws.
