Think about your political silence
If you are upset about current goings-on in Washington, D. C., whether "conservative" or "liberal," or somewhere in between and you have not voiced your concern to your Senators and U.S. Representative, please consider this quote by a Lutheran minister imprisoned in Germany in World War II: "When the Nazis came for the communists, I did not speak out; I was not a communist. When they came for the social democrats, I did not speak out; I was not a social democrat. When they came for the trade unionists, I did not speak out; I was not a trade unionist. When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out." An old adage says, "Silence gives consent."
