St. Colette School celebrates golden anniversary

Founding members of St. Colette Parish in Rolling Meadows laid the cornerstone 50 years ago for a school committed to providing children an opportunity to grow socially, academically, and spiritually toward responsible adulthood. St. Colette School has been an integral part of the Northwest suburban community ever since.

An anniversary party at 3900 Pheasant Drive will be held immediately following the 5 p.m. Mass Oct. 16. Tickets are $25 and include a buffet dinner, cash bar and decades worth of music.

Tour of the school, which is a Blue Ribbon School in the top 10 percent of all schools nationwide, and a chance to meet Valerie Zemko, a St. Colette School alumna, who has been a teacher and principal at the school for 34 years, also are part of the evening. RSVP by Oct. 13 to the school at (847) 392-4098.
