A suggestion for Cronin replacement

As chairman of the DuPage Republican Party, state Sen. Dan Cronin can essentially handpick the successor to the state senate seat he vacated. I hope that Cronin considers this appointment carefully and doesn't simply use it to repay someone a political favor.

I hope instead of looking to his cronies and his protégés, he looks toward some new exciting faces in the Republican Party. As someone who has been impressed by Rafael Rivadeneira's recent entrance into the political arena, I hope Cronin considers Rivadeneira, who promises to fight taxes and cut waste. He's committed to transparency and cutting to the chase. That's what this district needs.
