Last year: 24-7, 7-3, second in the Metro Suburban Conference; lost 70-55 to Hales Franciscan in the class 2A Joliet Township supersectional.

Scouting report: Timothy's first sectional champ since 1980 graduated 41 of 62 points from forward Rob Stein and guards Reggie Greenwood and Justin Peeples. No huge tumble seen, though, with three-year starters Pizzello and floor leader Penczak, who return scoring averages of 4.4 and 9.4 respectively. Coming up are last year's sophomore leaders Leach and Ridolphi along with Morrison, Vos and Boot, the Trojans' tallest at 6-5. An up-tempo game remains the goal, but All-Area point Greenwood made it look easy. Against a tough early schedule and with Glenbard South joining the Metro, ball-control will be paramount. "We must be very smart and play as a team," LeGrand said.
