Arlington Hts. firefighters invite public to open house
The Arlington Heights Fire Department invites residents to its open house, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the fire department headquarters (Station 2), 1150 N. Arlington Heights Road.
The event recognizes Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 3-9. "Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With!" is this year's fire prevention campaign, designed to impress upon people the importance of smoke alarms. The open house will have the Fire Safety Trailer, equipment and informational displays, demonstrations, tours of the fire station, and Sparky the Fire Dog.
