Arthur J. Gallagher acquires Behnke

Itasca-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. today announced the acquisition of Behnke & Co., Inc. in Decatur. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.  

Established in 1983, Behnke is a retail insurance broker providing commercial property/casualty, employee benefits and risk management consulting services to their clients throughout the United States.  They specialize in insurance coverage for the agricultural processing, medical malpractice, construction, entertainment, hospitality, public entity, transportation and manufacturing industries.  

Christopher Behnke and his associates will continue to work from their current locations under the direction of Thomas J. Gallagher, Midwest Regional Manager of Gallagher's retail property/casualty brokerage operation.
