Gays deserve dignity and respect
No one has the “freedom of speech” to cause another human to feel worthless and unsafe. Your students must learn acceptance and respect and how to treat their peers with dignity.
Stop allowing this bullying of gay students in your school. Being gay is no more a “choice” than being a woman or being black. Are you all really this ignorant? It is 2011.
Accept that there are gay/lesbian/bisexual/transsexual/transgendered people who are human beings who deserve dignity and respect they are citizens who are equals.
