Tribute bands coming to Metropolis

Dance and sing along to the tunes of Steely Dan, as performed by Reely Dan on Jan. 7, and Elton John and Billy Joel, as performed by Piano Man on Jan. 8 at the Metropolis in downtown Arlington Heights.

Featured on WGN, Reely Dan captures the driving pop music of legendary Steely Dan, while Piano Man performs one act that is all Billy Joel music, then turns up the glitz and glamour for a tribute to Elton John.

Reely Dan performs at 8 p.m.; tickets are $25, stage tables $35. Piano Man performs at 5 and 8 p.m.; tickets are $27, stage tables $35. Tickets can be purchased at MetropolisArts.com or by calling (847) 577-2121.

The two performances are part of the new Live Music Series at Metropolis.

Other Live Music shows in the 2010/11 season include Shawn Mullins, John Michael Coppola, Stayin' Alive: A Tribute to The Bee Gees, Sentimental Journey Encore, Kevin Moore Presents Score by Score: An Evening of Irving Berlin, and Fifth House Ensemble. Metropolis is located at 111 W. Campbell St.
