Boy injured in Oktoberfest parade

LA CROSSE, Wis. -- A young boy is injured in a fall from a float during the annual Oktoberfest Torchlight parade in La Crosse.

Police say the accident happened Thursday about 8 p.m. The boy fell from the front of a trailer and was run over by the tires.

The parade was stopped while rescue workers treated the child and took him to the hospital with minor injuries.

WXOW-TV says the parade resumed about a half hour later.
