Kennedy right on point about Ayers

With William Ayers retiring from UIC after a 20 year misplaced position as an education professor, it is truly a wonder the university board of trustees turned down his request for emeritus status.

In his 1974 book filled with the usual anti-America rantings, he dedicated the book to a lengthy list of revolutionary figures, including Sirhan Sirhan who shot and killed Senator Robert Kennedy.

The chairman of the trustees committee, Christopher Kennedy, stated, “There can be no place in a democracy to celebrate political assassinations or to honor those who do so. Robert Kennedy was his father and with out his statement the same people who hired him Ayers 20 years prior would have anointed him again.

As a final insult, some trustees abstained from the vote. Thank you, Christopher Kennedy, for some clear thinking.
