Arlington Hts. promotes firefighter

William Rodgers, who has been with the Arlington Heights Fire Department since 1996, was promoted Monday night to lieutenant.

Rodgers, a member of the department's hazardous materials team, earned an associate degree in fire science from the College of DuPage and is working on a bachelor's degree in the same subject from Southern Illinois University.
