Manhunt on for shooter who asked about honeybees
One survivor is in critical condition and another is in serious condition after a gunman shot three men after asking about honeybees.
Authorities searched Wednesday for the suspect, described as heavyset, unkempt and mentally unbalanced.
One of the victims, Rolando Alonso of Hammond, Ind., was shot fatally in the head. He was working near far South suburban Beecher, when the gunman began a conversation, then started shooting.
Another worker was wounded. A hospital spokeswoman says 19-year-old Joshua Garza is in critical condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
A farmer was wounded Tuesday near Lowell, Ind. A hospital spokesman says 64-year-old Keith Dahl is in serious condition at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point, Ind.
