Dundee Twp. library host Halloween events for teens, tots
The Dundee Township Public Library, 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee, has spooktacular fun planned for all ages as Halloween creeps up on the calendar.
Teens will head off the fun with a “Teen Horror Fest” at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23. In honor of things that go bump in the night, teens will create masks, watch movie clips, share scary stories and frighten up some delicious cookies to decorate. Registration is recommended for this program.
The next treat is for the preschool tricksters with a special “Halloween Storytime” at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26 and Wednesday, Oct. 27. Children are invited to wear their costumes as they listen to Halloween stories, followed by a parade through the children's department. No registration is required.
Inspired by the master of horror Steven King, adults will get their scare on at the “Catch a Classic at the Library” movie series featuring “The Shining” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26. The meeting room doors will open 30 minutes before show time for free popcorn and refreshments. No registration is required.
