Removal of drug a sign of rationing

Removal of drug a sign of rationing

Here comes health care rationing — yeah, rah, Obamacare! No cancer drug has ever been removed from the market based solely on “overall survivability.” Guess what? It looks like Avastin may be removed by the FDA even though it has proved to be a “wonder drug” for many women with stage IV breast cancer. Why? It's expensive.

Even though the FDA has approved Provenge (an advanced, expensive, prostate cancer drug), Medicare is currently deciding whether it will pay for it. This would be the first (not the last) time Medicare refused to pay for an approved drug.

Don't you think it is time to get rid of Obamacare and Obamacare advocates?
