Foster shows no courage
Someone said Bill Foster has displayed courage in his voting and his actions to represent us. I agree. It took courage to follow the dictates of his political bosses in D.C. to turn his back on his “bosses” back home the people who elected him.
It took courage to vote for a health care plan that will add billions of dollars in taxes and increase insurance premiums a plan that was not supported by his constituents. It took courage to vote to take $500 billion out of Medicare, essentially bankrupting Medicare. It took courage to refuse to hold open town hall meetings and one-on-one closed door secret meetings were better.
It took courage to follow Obama's orders to exclude tort reform because, according to Obama, it would “only” save $1 billion. It took courage to take credit for the elimination of the “doughnut hole” for seniors, while neglecting to mention that it doesn't take effect for 10 years and many other parts of the bill won't go into effect until 2014 after the next presidential election.
It took courage to claim this bill will reduce the national debt. Obama's own staff now admits this won't happen. Obama stated the cost is $900 billion. His own staff admits it will be at least $1.5 trillion some say between $2 trillion and $3 trillion. It takes courage to continually vote to spend hundreds of billions of dollars we don't have. This is not the kind of courage we need as our representative in Washington, D.C. We cannot afford Bill Foster.
