Dist. 220 invites specialist to discuss teen depression
A mood disorders specialist from Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, will be at Barrington High School from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, to discuss the signs, symptoms and treatment of adolescent depression and Bipolar Disorder.
Dr. Karen Swartz will give the program and a brief film, to provide an in-depth look at teenage depression. Time for questions and discussion will follow.
This free program for parents and adults is offered by Barrington Unit District 220 and the Johns Hopkins Adolescent Depression Awareness Program.
