Writer urges voters to reject recall of trustee

Imagine if you can that you are accused, arrested and brought to trial in a criminal court. And you are told the penalty for your crime is two years!

You say, “What am I accused of? How can you arrest me and bring me to a criminal court without telling me what I am accused of?

“And while you are arresting me and convicting me you won't tell me what I am accused of, AND you won't show me the evidence you have that is allowing you to accuse me!

Sound kind of criminal in itself? Sound kind of fascistic? Sound kind of like the National Socialist Party of 1933 Germany?

Sorry, you're wrong, It sounds like 2010 Buffalo Grove. Sounds kind of like a recall on an elected trustee without a reason. Think about it: What is the reason for the so-called “recall?

The reason? None given, none named, none stated, none suggested.

And think about it: the recall ordinance drafted, written, proposed and lobbied by lawyers.

Funny, I was educated to believe that you are innocent until you are proven guilty. That's still the way we view things like law and justice, isn't it? Isn't it, even in Buffalo Grove?

I thought lawyers would know about those things, I really did and I still do! Even in Buffalo Grove.

So, people of Buffalo Grove, I ask you to reject this recall idiocy. Reject this call to criminalize without a crime! Vote NO on the recall of Lisa Stone.
