Fox Valley Halloween contest

The Fox Valley Park District is on the lookout for homes with ghoulish decorations to enter in the third annual Halloween Decorating Contest.

Winners will be chosen in two categories: scariest and most original. The contest is open to all park district residents in Aurora, North Aurora and Montgomery. The entry fee is $10. Judging will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Each household that enters receives free admission to Halloween Family Night on Oct. 29 when the winners will be announced. Winning households receive gift certificates from local businesses.

To enter, pick up a registration form at either the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., or the Eola Community Center, 555 S. Eola Road, in Aurora. Call (630) 859-8606.
