End the sideshow, vote yes on recall
In the course of the nearly three-hour village board meeting on Monday Oct. 18th, Trustee Lisa Stone interjected herself into the spotlight for a total of 52 minutes. That amounts to nearly a full hour of complete grandstanding, politicking and unchecked opportunity to attack her favorite targets the village president, fellow trustees, previous staff and anyone and everyone who has appeared before the board who she thinks is her enemy.
When that wasn't enough, she again took up valuable citizen time by moving off the dais to continue her attacks from the public podium, including one baseless insinuation and accusation after another. All of her tired issues have been debated, answered and considered to death. Her complete lack of civility and her derogatory comments toward her fellow trustees making allegations against them without a single ounce of proof, was shameful from start to finish.
I have lived in the Village of Buffalo Grove for over 25 years. I served on School District 21 school board years ago. I know how important it is for people on boards to work together even to disagree with each other in a civil manner.
There is no way the village can conduct business, make decisions or even have a healthy debate with this divisive, vindictive, disrespectful, arrogant and downright misinformed trustee in office.
I urge my fellow residents to vote a decisive yes to recall Trustee Lisa Stone
and let us move forward, work together and tackle the real problems facing our community.
