Tax dollars at work for Obama traveling

If the excessive spending and record deficits of the first two years of the Obama administration were not enough, I am now absolutely appalled that in the weeks before the November election we are being barraged by a multitude of ads on TV featuring Andy Griffith and a bunch of supposed senior citizens trying to convince us what a wonderful deal Obamacare is.

These ads are made and paid for by the government using our tax dollars. In my life I cannot recall when it was necessary for “our” government to run ads, at our expense, to convince us that the legislation they passed was “good” for us. I really question if these ads are legal since they are promoting a political ideology at the expense of the taxpayer. Unfortunately, this excessive spending is nothing new to the Obama administration. For all of those who have bashed the Bush administration for eight years, they seem to ignore that Air Force One is the frequent flier airline of choice for the Obamas for New York date night, the Michelle and friends vacation to Spain (yes, lets stimulate Spain while we bad-mouth Las Vegas), several trips South trying to avoid the oil spill, a vacation at Martha's Vineyard and a few trips to check out their property in Chicago.

But now there are all the trips the “first family” is taking to support political buddies. Want to take a guess who is paying for that? It is time for all of us in Cook County, Illinois and the nation to vote for legislators who will understand the difficulties we all are dealing with in these times of economic uncertainty. We need a “change” from the “change” we have experienced in the last two years.
