A must-see film before the election

Before voting, every person should see the new movie “Inside Job.” Our current economic mess, unemployment and housing collapse are not Republican or Democratic errors. They are an underlying cancerous greed of huge corporations. The movie unfolds the sequences of events and who is to blame; the blame is deep and wide and spans several decades.

We hear that capitalism, free markets, privatization, deregulation and less government are good for everyone. They will raise the standard of living for all, including the poor. John Perkins, a former economic hit man who for 10 years helped corporations and banks become richer, reveals the truths behind the American empire. His James Bond-like stories will shock you, but they are true. Just Google his name.

Huge corporations have managed to persuade countries to take on debt in the name of progress for all, leaving countries raped of their resources and their people exploited into deeper poverty. Corporations have been doing this for several years in other countries. Now they are doing it here loss of homes, loss of jobs, loss of dignity, loss of the ideals upon which our country was founded.

Instead of voting party lines, vote for a candidate with integrity who does the right thing even when others are all doing the opposite for personal gain.
