Prospect Hts. can fix one issue on Nov. 2

The mayor of Prospect Heights, Dolly Vole, was a leader in the fight against home rule for our city. Too many of my neighbors sided with her, and now we are reaping the whirlwind. Our city hall is closed three days a week. The police station is closed to the public. City employees have been laid off. Our streets are crumbling.

And now, our security is being threatened by the proposed layoff of part of our excellent police force. On Nov. 2nd, we can correct one of these issues by voting yes on the referendum to repair our streets and roads.

Resolution of the other problems will have to wait until April, when I hope the citizens of Prospect Heights will have another opportunity to adopt home rule, and will vote to replace Mayor Vole.
