Three file for Gilberts village board

Three candidates submitted their petitions Monday for three available spots on the Gilberts village board.
Incumbent Trustee Patricia Mierisch, plan commission member Louis Hacker and resident Daniel Corbett all were at the village clerk's office to file when offices opened at 8:30 a.m.
Village Clerk Debbie Meadows said there would be a lottery at 4 p.m. Dec. 20 at village hall to determine which of the three gets the top position on the April ballot.
There are three trustee positions up for grabs in the April election. Incumbents Bruce Erbeck and Pete Cullotta had not yet filed Monday morning, Meadows said.
Candidates have until the end of the day Dec. 20 to turn in petitions.
