Hanover Park woman killed in early morning crash

A 23-year-old Hanover Park woman died early Monday morning after a two vehicle crash on County Farm Road, officials said.

Christina Schamne, 23, of the 1800 block of Zeppelin Drive, was pronounced dead at St. Alexius Hospital shortly after the crash, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A preliminary investigation determined that Schamne was riding in the passenger seat of a Ford Mustang traveling southbound on County Farm Road just South of Ontarioville Road when the Mustang crossed the center line and struck a northbound Ford Explorer.

The driver of the Mustang sustained nonlife threatening injuries in the crash and was also transported to St. Alexius Hospital, according to police.

The driver and passenger of the Ford Explorer were transported to Central DuPage Hospital, where they were treated for nonlife threatening injuries, according to police.

The accident remained under investigation as of Monday evening.
