Police investigating Niles bank robbery

The FBI and Niles police are investigating a bank robbery at a TCF branch bank that occurred Tuesday.

The bank, located at 7759 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Niles, was robbed at 6:55 Tuesday night.

Authorities said a Hispanic man, 25 to 30 years old, standing 5-foot-10 with a medium build and a goatee entered the bank and announced a robbery, but did not display a weapon.

He was wearing a brown fedora with a black band and a small red feather, red or brown thick framed sunglasses, a dark jacket and jeans, the FBI said.
