Booth leaves DePaul job for post with Hornets

DePaul Hall of Famer David Booth is leaving the men's basketball program for a scouting position with the NBA's New Orleans Hornets.

Booth has worked at DePaul since May 2009 as an assistant coach and the program's director of community, corporate and professional relations.

With the Hornets, he will handle scouting for the northeast region. Booth returns to the NBA after serving as a southeast region scout for the Memphis Grizzlies for five years before joining the DePaul staff.
