Two on run after truck flips in Elgin
A pickup trucked flipped on its side in Elgin Friday morning after hitting a guy wire and its two occupants ran from the scene, police said.
At about 10:30 a.m., the gray pickup flipped, coming to rest on the guy wire that supports a telephone pole, authorities said.
The accident occurred on northbound McClure Avenue at Wing Street on Elgin's near west side. The truck had the name and number of a drywall hanger on it.
Police are looking for a man and woman they say were in the truck at the time of the accident, Elgin Police Sgt. Tom Olson said.
