Hoffman holds Scarecrow fest

The Hoffman Estates Park District's annual Scarecrow Festival will be held noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Vogelei Park, 650 W. Higgins Road. Festivities include games and activities, a climbing wall, scavenger hunt, entertainment, food and a scarecrow competition.

From noon-1:30 p.m. visitors will vote for their favorite scarecrow, play games and try the climbing wall, scavenger hunt and Safety Town. From 1:30-2 p.m. the winners will be announced; and from 2-3 p.m. the games resume along with a children's entertainer.

The Scarecrow Festival is held in conjunction with the Worldwide Day of Play.
