Police said a man approached the victim about 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Sam's Club parking lot at 6570 Grand Ave. on Gurnee's west side. To build confidence in the story to the victim, a woman was introduced to the conversation. Both suspects convinced the victim to withdraw cash from his bank account, police said. They said the suspects then stole the money. Police didn't reveal the amount taken. Authorities said the male suspect was described as possibly of Middle Eastern descent, about 50 years old, roughly 5-foot, 5-inches tall, possibly with facial hair and weighing about 185 pounds. Cops said he spoke with a Middle Eastern accent and was last seen wearing a brown coat. Police said the other suspect is a black woman, 40 to 45 years old, 5-foot, 5-inches tall and about 150 pounds. She was of a "stocky" build and last seen wearing a brown dress. Gurnee police said the victim likely was targeted because of his age and he was alone.
