Veterans file for Elk Grove board

Incumbent Elk Grove Village Trustee Samuel Lissner and Elk Grove library board Trustee Timothy Burns are vying for seats on the Elk Grove Village board in April.

Three four-year term seats are up for election April 5.

Two other incumbents trustees, James Petri and Nancy Czarnik, have not yet filed their candidate petitions.

This morning was the first opportunity for candidates to file nominating petitions to get their names on the ballot, but the filing period continues through Monday, Dec. 20.
