Two men hold up Arlington Heights gas station

Arlington Heights police are looking for two men who held up a gas station at gunpoint early this morning, authorities confirmed.

Police said two black men in their early 40s walked into the Shell gas station on the corner of West Algonquin and South Arlington Heights roads about 3:30 this morning and pointed a gun at the clerk while demanding he open the register.

The clerk told police the man who displayed a small handgun was wearing a brown jacket and had a medium build with a scar and “whiteness” around his disfigured right eye socket.

The men fled west on foot with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and several packs of cigarettes, said Arlington Heights police Sgt. Mike Hernandez.

The second robber was described as 40 to 45 years old with a medium build and last seen wearing a black jacket.

No one was injured during the robbery.
